Using renewable energy sources, Monte da Sapaleira has solar panels for heating water. It was built with natural materials and keeps a good room temperature in different seasons. However, in the cooler months, the use of the fireplace allows for central heating using wood (wood available in low/winter season).

 
The neighboring towns are the small town of Aljezur, the county seat, located 5 km from Monte da Sapaleira, and Rogil, 2.5 km. Here you will find bakeries, supermarkets, municipal market (fish, vegetables and fruits), a butcher, a green grocer, pharmacy, restaurants, cafes, general shops, among others.
In Aljezur there is a Sports Complex, home of the Municipal Swimming Pool (covered) and the Sports Pavilion. Enjoy a swim and maintain your fitness. Ideal for you and your family.
